Website and email privacy policy

What happens when you visit our website?

When someone visits we use the third party service called Google Analytics, to collect information and details of visitor behaviour. We do this to find out which pages on the website are popular with visitors. It’s also useful to know how much time people spend on our website. By finding out this information, we can improve the website to make it more user-friendly and hopefully attract more users for a longer period of time. We don’t use google analytics to find out individuals identities only to see general behaviours and use.

What are cookies?

Cookies are files which are stored on a user’s computer. They are designed to hold data specific to a particular client and website.

Why do we use cookies?

Cookies are a convenient way to carry information from one session on a website to another, or between sessions on related websites, without having to burden a server machine with massive amounts of data storage.

Online mailing list

We use a third-party provider, Mail Chimp, to deliver our email marketing. We gather statistics around email opens and clicks. This is used to help us to  improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Mail chimp’s privacy policy.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to let us use the data you provided to send you information that we think will be interesting or useful to you. You can unsubscribe at any time and we’ll make sure there’s a valid unsubscribe link in every Mail Chimp email we send.

When you subscribe you agree to let us send personal one-to-one communications to you. Examples of this may include sending you email address verification messages and replying to any personal email queries sent from your email address to us.

Email policy

We hate spam. Unless you authorise it or we’re compelled by law, we won’t share your email address with anyone else, ever. We value your information. We’ll keep it as secure as we can. Emails will be sent at reasonable intervals, which is at most a few times a month and definitely not once a day! We’ll do our best to meet all applicable privacy, spam, and other relevant rules and regulations. If you think we’ve failed to do that, please contact us so we can investigate and correct as required.

If you click a link on our website that takes you to another website this privacy notice will no longer apply. Those sites are not governed by us or our Privacy Policy.
